On Sunday afternoon, the lighting was perfect and the timing seemed right for a 6 month photo shoot of Amber. We think she is just an absolute doll!

Eating Carrots

This past Saturday Amber tasted carrots for the first time. After the first couple cautious bites, she was gobbling up the rest. She's proving to be a really good eater!

Lucas upgraded his camera this past week, so he was eager to take some pictures. Amber and I were more than happy to pose. smiles.

James and Leah Apgar Visit

Lucas' best friend from growing up James Apgar and his wife Leah came down to visit us this past weekend. We had a nice time together: went to the Dulles Air and Space Museum, played board games, watched movies, talked, etc. Amber enjoyed meeting our special friends too. :-)

Little Eater

Amber is enjoying her new world of baby rice cereal. She is steadily learning how to get the food from off the spoon. Messy but fun times.

Here and There

The walls are now painted in the kitchen, and we have primed the upper cabinets. Here and there we are making steady progress.

Fun Things

Lucas and Aunt Renee had a good time making this gingerbread house. Lucas was especially motivated because he didn't want to bring the gingerbread house kit back to VA again.
Also, Aunt Sara dyed her hair from blond back to her more natural brown color. A fun change and it looks so cute.

Meeting Mommy's Friends

Amber got to meet some of Mommy's high school and college friends - Tammy Foseid and Melissa Ising. She did a good job of charming them. :-)

Leonard Family Gathering

On New Year's Day, Grandma Maureen and Grandpa Paul had the Great G'ma Sally Leonard family and friends over. Great G'ma, Aunt Karen, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Dave, lots of cousins, and friends Mike and Linda were some of the folks who gathered together that afternoon. A nice time all together again.

New Bath for the New Year!

While on travel, Amber is learning to be flexible with her bathing routine. We learned that a (clean) turkey roaster works great as an infant bathtub - just the right size! The whole family got a good laugh out of this one, and Amber got a good, fun cleaning. :-)

New Year's Eve

Us Larsen siblings, including Lucas, were able to go to the Neu's New Year's Eve gathering. Wonderful to see some old friends there. Nicole and her new husband Dan were even home from CA. Of course Michelle and I enjoyed some laughs together.

On the Monday after Christmas we drove up to Uncle Dennis and Aunt Joanie's farm for another celebration. Great G'pa and Great G'ma Larsen were there too. All 12 of us makes for a big clan; we loved every minute of it!
