Flowers for Friends

The neighbor girl was turning 4 and so Clara picked some flowers and wanted to deliver them by bicycle. Precious.

Swimming in Friend's Back Yard

One family who will be in our CC homeschool group, lives nearby to us and invited us to come swimming. The kids had a wonderful time! (And Lucas and I are logging potential ideas to use our sand pit for). ;-)

Weekend RVing

The weekend after returning from VT, we decided to test drive our neighbor's RV for the weekend. They were trying to sell it, and we were considering...

We stayed at a KOA for a night.
The RV kitchen had all the conveniences...just super tiny versions. Three burner stove top. A cutting board that fit over the sink for "counter space." Small oven. Regular microwave. It was all sufficient...for making macaroni and peas. ;-)

This jumping pillow at the campground was really fun, even for adults. 

The second night we ended up meeting with some neighbors for s'mores at their campsite in a nearby state park. The park was full for the night, so... we drove home and dry-docked the RV next to our shed by 11pm. 

We decided not to buy the RV, but it was fun to experience. And the kids did sleep nicely on the drive home.

Lots of Lake Fun

First day at the beach was chilly, but it got warmer throughout the week.
We thought this canoe was Lucas' Uncle's, but later found out we had hijacked the neighbor's! It was a nice ride anyway - Lucas did all the rowing for us 5...then Uncle Trevor swam out to help bring us in.

Kids went down the lower half of the rock slide, and Lucas braved it from the top again this year. The water in this stream was like ice!

Speed boat ride.

A foot pedal kayak...very relaxing.  

Hiking

Fifty-three minutes of hiking up to Pulpit Rock scenic overlook. It was so worth it! And the kids were still skipping all the way on the hike down. They amaze me sometimes. :)

 

Family Cabin in VT

It was very special for all us Smiths to be together for a week!

The lake house kitchen was spacious and we enjoyed some great meals together. They guys were cooking this night. :)

Games in the evening. The favorite was CodeNames.

Coming into VT we stopped for a tour at the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory.
