Brent really likes being held by his mother :-) He calms down and breathes nice and slow and will sometimes get a little smile on his face.

Brent is still in the NICU, but it looks like he will be able to come home soon. His breathing has improved a lot, and they are just monitoring how he handles full feedings.

Amber Having Fun With Grandparents

Amber has been having a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa Smith. Here she is playing Noah's Ark in a laundry basket with Grandpa Smith. We are pretty sure she can tell that something big is going on, but she isn't sure what it is yet. Well she is in for some big changes

Here are a couple more pictures of little Brent. He is still in the NICU because his breathing is still quite fast. He has goten a bit better, but they did have to put a feeding tube in becuase he couldn't nurse yet.

Introducing Brent Davis Smith

Just wanted to get a quick notice to everyone that Brent Davis Smith came a couple weeks early after Naomi's water broke on Friday. He was born at 9pm Friday the 23rd and weighed 7lb 1oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. We are still at the hospital as Naomi had to have a C section, and Brent is working on getting his breathing more regular. We will update you as we have more time. Thanks again for all the prayers and support!!

Little Late

These are a little late being posted to the blog, but we figured we would post them anyway. Actually the real reason they are late is becuase we were trying to decide if we were going to print them and sent them to our families. However with the baby's due date rapidly approching i don't think we are going to get around to that. So we are going to post some of the great pictures that Michelle took of us for you to enjoy :-)

Amber is walking around more each day that passes. She still has trouble though on rough and uneven ground. And of course as always she would prefer not to have any shoes on :-)

Hemlock Overlook Park

Amber got to go to Hemlock Overlook Park which was recommended to us by a friend. She had fun getting a bouncy stroller ride and then being carried around on some of the trails.
