Story Time

Amber and I were reading a bedtime story together. So far some of her
favorite things are proving to be: books, bracelets, and teddy bears.

Comparison

It is amazing to see how fast Amber is growing and changing. These pictures are taken about 11 months apart.

We picked up a double stroller at a garage sale so we are ready for Amber's little brother. Amber already likes riding shotgun.

Test Post

This is a test post as I am working on modifying the layout of the blog slightly to
increase image size, get rid of some lines, and simplify layout. It may take a couple days to get all the new posts up to code :-) Any feedback would be
appreciated.

By the way, the picture was taken by Michele Neu (Naomi's best friend growing up, and a amazing photographer).

Amber at the Farm

We visited Cox farm this past weekend and Amber had a blast. Here is her checking out the sheep.

Amber's First Friend

This past weekend Amber got to play with her new girlfriend Hartley, who is only 2 months older than Amber. They had a blast following each other around the house, playing the piano, reading books, and
"stealing" each other's toys. :-)

Night Shots

I tired out a couple long exposure night shots while we were at the lake, and a couple of them turned out. It is interesting to look at them and see how much the earth is actually turning (as seen by the stars streaking during an extended exposure). This isn't too bad of an issue when you are trying to get the landscape, but when i was trying to get a picture of the Moon during a lunar eclipse a couple years ago it was much more difficult. Guess that is why you have to pay the big bucks for tripod mounts and telescopes that can track with the earths movement.

Similarities

My Aunt pulled out a picture of my mom when she was Amber's age this past week when we were in Vermont and we all thought that there were some striking similarities.

Fun Around GG's House

Great Grandmother has many fun nick knacks and noise makers that kept Amber entertained.

Cabin and Dock

The cabin we rented was right on the lake and had a nice little dock (with my uncles boat - the red one) and a diving raft that was right at the drop off. There is a stream that comes into the lack right by the cabin so the water is about 2-3 feet deep for about 200 ft, then it drops off to 20-40 ft pretty instantly. So you can walk up to one side of the raft and dive head first on the other side and never hit the bottom.

Hiking Together

We all went for a little hike around Wheeler Pond. Amber walked a good bit of the way and was quite tired out by the time we got back.
