Taking a Break

Enjoying Babies

This is my friend Yvette's 2.5mo old little girl. The kids LOVED holding her the other day! Brent especially likes babies right now; he is often asking moms (at the park or the mall or church) if he can hold their babies.

Rest of the Weekend

 Before Michal had to get back to Dulles the next morning, we walked to the park.

 He gave the kids these nice European water bottles!

 G'pa and G'ma stayed until Sunday and went to church with us.

Visitor from Poland

 Twenty years ago Sandy and Patty hosted a Polish foreign exchange student, Michal, for one year. He was like a big brother to Lucas for that year. :)  Michal was recently in the States and flying through Dulles airport, so we all met up for the evening at our place. Patty made a delicious Indian dinner; Michal loved it and it brought back lots of memories for him.
Then we looked at old pictures on the computer from when Michal lived with them in PA.

Clara's New Bangs!

She really does like them! She was just being a stinker about having her picture taken. ;-) And she told me, "Mommy, I look like Dora!"  lol. 

New Quilts

I've been keeping my eye out for matching quilts for the girls...found some fun ones at Aldi grocery store!

Brent

Brent picked out some new dinos recently - thank you, Granny D!

One morning Brent converted his paper airplane into a fish with fins and then drew him an ocean too!

He also created this entire T-Rex himself. He impresses us everyday with his artwork!

Clara Again :)

This "punk-princess" look suits Clara just perfectly I think. ;-)

Her new favorite way to go to the park is riding on the scooter with Daddy! She stand and holds on VERY well I'm told. ;-)

The Davis Family

The morning after the wedding we all enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. This wedding weekend was the fist time Clara and Granny Davis had met - a special time!  Then here was a group shot of the Davis family who made the long drive down from the Northeast. :)
