Back at G'pa and G'ma's for Another Week Together

Though we did stay at a few different homes, the majority of our 5 weeks were at G'pa and G'ma's. The kids got very comfortable there and really enjoyed all the toys, the yard, the neighbor girl to play with, a homeschooling routine, and of course...all of G'pa and G'ma's wonderful attention! :)

While G'pa and G'ma enjoyed the kids, Lucas and I enjoyed doing some yard work together.
Then we cooled off in Slip 'N Slide!

Oh, and picking fresh tomatoes from the garden - that was a favorite for all!

And another nice visit with G'ma Sally.

A Day at the Farm

From the lake, Lucas and I and the kids went to spend a night with Joanie on the farm. The kids loved the dog, the open space, the golf cart, Joanie and her house,... ;-) A few weeks after this stay, Amber and Brent said, "Auntie Joanie has the nicest house. It's like a castle inside!" And Brent has changed his mind about being a paleontologist, for now he really wants to be a farmer.
Lucas and I tried out the recumbent bikes. Pretty fun and a good leg workout!

End of Lake Vacation

The golf cart came with the rental house. It was tons of fun! Even the kids got to drive. ;-)
Cousin Noah is getting a brother in December. We are excited for more cousins!

It was a fun-filled 5 days together. Lots of memories for sure.

Fishing!

The early morning fishing crew. They were out for Muskie...a couple solid bites, but no final big catch (yet). Bummer.
Then the second fishing run of the morning was for the kids. :) The kids caught 7 fish the first morning! They were excited to "beat the adults!"

Lake House Week

Settling into our rental lake house with all the Larsen family. There were 15 people: 4 kids and 11 adults. The house had 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and was 2 blocks from Little Green Lake...yes, it really was green!

Cousin Noah had recently turned 1, so we gave him his birthday present.
