Last Saturday

Clara likes to cuddle up for books, but she usually doesn't sit for the whole story yet. lol. She had a limp left arm for about a day due to tweaking her wrist over the weekend. But she was back to full-functioning by Monday. All is well. ;-)

We found a nice E.B. parka for Lucas too, just in time for more super-cold weather!

Guys' Game Night

Every few months the guys from church get together and play board games into all hours of the night/early morning. Lucas took these snapshots, although, he is not in any of them. But you can see the gaming strategy in full swing below. 

School and More Knitting

Learning phonics and more knitting skills.  It's a good pastime, but...watch out!... you may all get hats for Christmas!;-D

Educational Toys

Some friends blessed us with hand-me-down educational puzzles and toys. They kids have enjoyed them this snowy week! Brent was working on animal habitats. 

Vinyl window clings/stickers were fun for all, but Amber especially had a great time being "teacher" to Brent. ;-)

Twinkies and Bananas

The kids heard the word "Twinkie" in a Patch the Pirate song [http://patchthepirate.org/about-us] recently, and they laughed because they thought it was a funny-sounding word. Well, we thought we should introduce them to the real thing! lol. They liked 'em o.k. 

Every time we go to the store we buy more bananas because we are really liking smoothies and banana ice cream these days (yay for a Vita Mix)!! Yum!...and fairly healthy. ;-)

We didn't get a great "before" pictures, but...  I tried to even her various lengths out in back. She was actually a pretty good sport about the haircut, but she was being a stinker for the pictures. lol. 

Works of Art, by Brent

For the past month or so Brent has been turning a huge corner with coloring. Earlier this fall he didn't even want to try to color or learn how to hold a crayon. Now, he is coloring about 1-2 HOURS each day, of his own accord! The first thing he does when he wakes up most mornings is run to the basement to color a picture. Here are a few of his treasures that I wanted to share. ;-) Above is a brown fence and rainbow picture. Below is one of his first barn drawings.  The others below I have titled on the pages as Brent tells me what they are. :)
