A Walk Through Bethlehem

While Lucas was continuing to work hard on our bathroom remodel last Saturday, I took the kids to a local church where they have been putting on these "walks through Bethlehem" for 15 years. The kids really enjoyed this experience, especially Amber and Brent. Clara wasn't sure what to think for the first half of it, especially when the actors kept asking her if she rode her camel to town. lol!

Amber has done some weaving of her own, so she enjoyed watching this lady working on a larger loom (that her husband built for her). 

The live nativity folks were very grateful for the 70 degree day outside. :)

Finishing Out School Work for the Fall

Clara has really been loving her preschool worksheets this year.

Amber does well with her 2nd grade math...learning multiplication now. :)

I've been trying a new curriculum with Brent...he is learning cursive right off the bat, and he is doing really well with it! 

Master Bathroom Remodel Update

The floor tile is going down! 

The red is a rubber/waterproofing layer. Shower wall tiles will go on top (in the New Year). :-D

Rozzie's Birthday Lunch at the American Girl Doll Restaurant

Clara's friend Rozzie turned 4 this month, and she (and her mom Jenn) invited Clara (and me) to a fancy doll luncheon. It was a very special experience for all!

The cafe was quite lovely.

We all couldn't believe the cake! Jenn had anticipated only slices, but they presented the whole thing on this cute platter to the birthday girl...very adorable! (And then they cut the cake for us and, again, the presentation was super cute!)

The tree is in the basement this year because we still have bathroom remodeling supplies stacked in the corner of our living room upstairs. :) But we actually like it downstairs...more cozy.

We can hardly believe how fast the kids are growing up! Just had to do a flashback day...I feel like they are forever seared in my mind at this age (when we left HI 3 years ago)...precious then; precious now!
