Girlfriends

Most of our neighborhood playmates are boys, so we have to make a more concerted effort to have "girl" play dates. ...lots of giggles. :-D

More Tumbling

Last week was the make-up class for the January blizzard. Well, it snowed a couple inches again this Monday, but we ventured out by the afternoon and...the kids ended up with basically a private tumbling session. 

We enjoyed watching the kids get their energy out. :)

Valentine's Weekend

It was Bring Your "Sweat-Heart" night at Jazzercise. There were a couple other husbands who showed up, but Lucas was the only one near the front of the class, by me. Definitely a fun memory!

Double date with our good friends Stephen and Tiffany; we went to a Hibachi grill. The chef insisted on tossing shrimp into everyone's mouths. I was not a huge fan of this, but Tif said he was going to toss it at me one way or another, so...I tried, to no avail. But it was a good laugh! 

Our neighbor coaches wrestling at GMU, so we went to their last home match. 

A neighbor boy had his 6th birthday party on Valentine's at a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course. This was the first time our kids had done putt-putt. It was sweet to watch them try and learn. 

Across from the mini golf place was the country club where we had our wedding reception. I thought it would be special to grab a quick picture there, especially because in church that morning our pastor had all couples (who wanted to) stand up and renew their marriage vows to each other. Ten years ago we were in the midst of wedding planning! Time flies....I still have one good-looking, loving husband. ;-D So very grateful!!

Clara Completes Her Favorite Preschool Book

Clara loved this "Button Bear" book from A Beka; it has been her favorite worksheet to do everyday...learning her numbers. 

And the white bear was her find at Goodwill last week. She named him "Regular Bear."  ;-D

Trip To Dentist

Now that my health is so much improved (since my surgery), it's time to catch up on things that had fallen to the wayside the past year and a half, like dental cleanings. We found a good family dental group nearby. The hygienists are so good with children! I didn't have to sit with any one of the kids; I just floated between rooms taking pictures and talking with the Dentist. 

Brent kept chatting with his hygienist and she had to remind him to just keep his mouth open so she could work. ;-)

Clara told her hygienist that when she grows up she wants to be 4. 

Earlier that morning Amber made the pink bracelet on her wrist to give to her hygienist.

Celebrating Pastor Vic and Suebee!

Celebrating Vic and Suebee's 35 years of faithful ministry to BBC! 

The ladies at our church put on a beautiful reception. It was such a blessed time of celebrating God's work through Vic and Suebee. 

They presented Pastor Vic with a genuine shepherd's staff for all his years of shepherding God's people. 

Weekend with Smiths

Last weekend some of the Smith family came down for a visit. The kids all eat up the extra love and attention of course. :)  It was really great to be together!

Amber and Brent Get Published

The kids received a subscription to Clubhouse Jr magazine from G'pa and G'ma Smith last Christmas. This fall we entered some of the Amber and Brent's drawings to try and be published. Well... they made it!  We are proud of them. 

Now Brent wants to enter pictures of his Lego creations to Lego Junior magazine too. ;-)
