AWANA Awards

With smoothies in hand, we drove over to the church to pick up the kids' hard-earned awards in Covid drive-through style.

High school students were applauding as each vehicle drove up. This made our kids smile.

They had a "Smith" packet all ready to hand us.

Hawaiian Falls Water Park

We had an enjoyable family afternoon in the hot August sun.

A Hawaiian water park, by way of Texas... As you left they literally said, "Mahalo, Y'all!"

Astronomy Class with Lucas

In early August there was an opportunity to view the moon, Saturn, and Jupiter in pretty close proximity to each other. Lucas put together a telescope and astronomy lesson for our kids and our homeschool/church friends (and even a couple neighbors stopped by to look through the telescopes).

Our driveway and a cloudless night, (and Lucas continually lining up the telescopes correctly), provided for some incredible observations.

This is what we were able to see of Saturn. Amazing!
