Brent received one gift amongst all of Amber's gifts, a book on Geckos. We love it!
We also love the Dora book that's 100+ pages long! As soon as Daddy or Mommy finishes reading it through it all, we always hear, "Again!" LOL.
Amber turned 3 last week right after Daddy came home from travels. We had a simple but fun family celebration day together. Here are pics of Amber with some of her gifts and cake. I was proud she wanted to share some cupcakes with her neighbor friends too! ;-)
His last day in the DC area, Lucas was able to meet up with Mom and Dad at Antietam. It was a really special few hours to be together.

Last week Lucas was on travel for work to DC, so... my best friend Michelle came out to be with me and the kids. Amber and Brent called her "Auntie 'Chelle" - so cute. We had a fun week together! Here was the start of it...
On a side note, the other day the Samoan neighbor girl (6 yrs. old) asked me, "What kind of makeups do you put on his [Brent's] eyes to make them blue like that?" So cute! Of course I explained that he was born that way, just like she was born with beautiful brown eyes. ;-)
Amber and Brent enjoy reading together most days. :-) "Go, Dog, Go!" is a definite favorite!

I had my first hands-on photography tutorial the other day. These were some of the fruits of my efforts! Not bad. Pretty handsome in fact!
We had a fun 4th as a family. Amber and Brent played with the neighbor kids in their sprinkler, and then we went down to our beach for the fireworks. Simple and special for all.
