She sewed the pink, felt skirts with Aunt Joanie. Clara loves to match her doll.

Sometimes she does ballet DVDs as part of her homeschool day.

Ice Day

Well, we are officially stuck until they get around to salting our road.  Our driveway and road are solid ice after 24 hours of freezing rain.  

It's Cold Out There!

A couple weeks ago we had a warm-ish day where the top layer of snow melted, and then...it froze again to make solid ice everywhere! The kids have been like little bullets on the sledding hills, and like little penguins going down on their tummies. 

Lucas and I both acquired snow pants for the first time in 20+ years. We need them! It's been -5 to 9 degrees out!

Our sand pit "pond" froze and so we went ice-gliding with our boots on. :)

New Years with Family

We went down to G'pa and G'ma's for New Years weekend. (Amber was still recovering from ear infections and pneumonia). We had a nice extended family Christmas/gift time and dinner. 

In between those activities, Lucas and G'pa replaced a shower door. 

We had lunch and games at G'pa and G'ma GG's place. 

Sara and G'ma/Mom and I had a special visit with Great-G'ma Sally. We even got to watch the Lawrence Welk New Year's TV special together... so many memories of watching that with G'ma Sally growing up.
