Turning 12

Upon our return to TX, Amber had her 12th birthday - complete with an oreo ice cream cake and many special gifts from family and friends.

Her friend from Poland even sent her flowers!

We played a new-to-us horse board game together.

And...time for a bigger bike!

More of WI

We spent some days in the Appleton area (at Joanie's condo with her). She has some nifty recumbent bikes that she let us use. :)

We did drive down our old country road. And...that was sad... to see the house is gone. It was torn down this April. The new owner plans to still use the shed, but then he will let everything else turn back into prairie land. We are soooo thankful for every moment we got to live on that special property/hill, and for all the memories we will have forever.

We were able to visit with some of the girls' special friends in the area, which was a blessing.

Then back down in Meno Falls, Gpa and Gma's friends have a hobby farm. Lots of chickens and geese, some alpacas, horses and a donkey. It was a fun and educational morning tour.

And Brent still enjoys catching frogs or toads whenever he can!

Family Camp

We spent 3.5 days in Northern WI at a favorite Christian family camp with Gpa and Gma and with Uncle Brian and Aunt Julie's family. There were some changes this year at camp due to covid, but overall...it was an excellent time. There was still much to do outside! And when it did rain, we found board games or video games to play in the lounge or in our cabin together.

Brent and Lucas did a LOT of archery and air riffles this year. They are moving up in ranks and earning more badges each year; Brent made it to "Bowman."

Lucas and Brian vs. Julie and Gpa in tennis. Gma and I enjoyed cheering.

Here we were returning from the early morning "Voyager's Breakfast" across the lake.

Cowgirls

The girls enjoy the Texas cowgirl style more since taking horseback riding lessons this spring/summer.
