Awana Year Coming to a Close

Only two more weeks for Awana Bible club this year. Amber and Brent have both finished their books...we are very proud of them. We are thankful for our church and all the Awana workers who serve the children each week.

...to find the right pieces for this one set. ;-) But I guess it was worth it. Look at that smile!

Start of Easter Celebration

We started celebrating Easter while G'pa and G'ma were still here, and when Auntie Renee joined us too. This t-ball set was an Easter gift from G'pa and G'ma. It's a new favorite for sure. 

We had a little egg hunt.

Celebrating G'ma's Birthday

Again the kids worked with G'ma in the kitchen to make her Mint Brownies for her birthday. It was a tasty event! ;-)

School Time

Coloring and Math... G'ma was a HUGE help with homeschooling last week. :)

Playing Outside

It was hilarious to see the kids learn to play kickball! They would often forget which base to run to first, and then Brent liked the kick the ball backward from home plate,... lots of laughs. But they had such a great time learning that game with G'pa and G'ma. 

First Day of G'pa and G'ma's Visit

G'pa and G'ma Larsen were here this past week for a great visit! Last Sunday was the first full day we had together, and it was 80+ degrees outside. We went to church in the morning, [above was some reading time after church and before lunch was ready], and then in the later afternoon we went over to walk around the Manassas Battlefield. 

The open field was a great place to run!

Transitioning to the Toddler Bed!

Clara was ready for this transition! She has done really well in the toddler bed. Lucas bought wood to build an actual bottom bunk, but for now...this setup is working well for the girls.
