Last Quarter of Co-op Year

Clara and Brent are some of the oldest kids at our elementary co-op, but they have been loving it. So thankful for these friends this year!

The older kids, 9-12yrs, are in an English grammar and composition class in the afternoons. They did a big research paper this winter on heroes from American history. We had, from left to right: Harriet Tubman, Helen Keller, Stonewall Jackson, George Washington Carver, and Walt Disney. Their tutor was very proud of them all, as were us moms. 

We also had Spirit Day/Pajama Day :-)

Making Ice Cream

I guess it's a little obvious how much our family loves ice cream...

Our friends gave us an ice cream maker! Yum!! We've only made vanilla so far. I think "chocolate chip cookie dough" is on the docket for this next weekend. It takes about a half hour to make a family-sized batch. 

Spring Break Hiking Day

The kids and I met up with my cousin Sean who recently moved to the DFW area with his wife. Sean brought his puppy and we all enjoyed a good hike together. 

Driving home we went past a Culver's!!! (My car automatically turned in). ;-)
