Bathroom Remodel In Process
This was a couple weeks ago. Now even more floor is torn up and the vanity is gone. It's still "getting worse before it gets better."

Lunch with Friends
My friend Misty, below in green, and her family will be moving soon (unexpectedly). So my friend Heather, in blue, (a fellow Wisconsinite!) hosted a lunch last week. It was a sweet time.
D.C. is such a transient area...it's hard to say goodbye to friends. But maybe they will come back this way someday.

Applesauce Day!
Some of our homeschooling friends invited us for a major applesauce canning day at their farm. Everyone pitched in to help. (A bonus that it was 80 degrees out that day). :)
The young kids were in charge of cleaning the apples.
Older kids helped with the cutting.
The moms worked the press and stove area.
Farm animals got the apple remnants.
The afternoon provided lots of play time while the moms kept cooking.
We brought home 17 quarts of applesauce, and one jar of apple butter. Overall the moms did more than 200 jars of applesauce that day!

Clara's Haircut
She asked me to cut her hair shorter... "For making snow angels in the winter. I don't want my long hair to get wet in the snow." :-D

Family Weekend
G'pa and G'ma, and Uncle Owen and Aunt Maritza came down for Halloween weekend. We spent Saturday together, laughed with the kids, and caught up on life a bit. (We missed Uncle Trevor, Aunt Katelyn and little Evie).
Brent received one more birthday present...his own Bible. :)
