Valentines Day Cards

Forgot to post these before. Kids making valentines day cards for a party they went to.

Maui - Onouli Black Sand Beach

Naomi and I got to take a weekend trip to Maui while some very gracious friends from church watched the kids. The next set of pictures are from the trip :-) Overall we liked Maui much better than Oahu which just feels more "abused" by comparison. Maui is also much calmer with around 1/10th the population density. We liked Maui so much we took a lot of pictures, so bare with us as we go through the places and activities we did there. I will also probably be posting some higher res versions over at my photography blog (http://lucassmithphoto.blogspot.com/), so for those of you who read that blog as well, sorry for any duplicates you might see.

The first set of pictures is from Onouli Black Sand Beach on the south shore of Maui. When the waves picked up the sand it looked a lot like Oreos and Cream :-)

More Fun With Ms Kitty

Picking avocados and flowers and having cookies makes any kids day.

We also stopped by the house of one of Lucas's co-workers (who goes by Miss Kitty). Kitty has no Cats though, and is quite the fan of Dogs. It made for some amusing conversation trying to explain to the kids that there wouldn't be any Cats at Ms. Kitty's place. Needless to say they really liked the dogs, particularly one named Zeke who also seemed to like the attention.

Fishing

The kids also enjoyed some "fishing" while Naomi tried not to worry about Brent jumping into the water.

Botanical Gardens And Fish

We took a morning trip over to the Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe. The kids particularly liked feeding the ducks and fish.

Silver Ring

A couple days ago I rediscovered the silver ring I had purchased for Amber at the Honolulu Swap Meet. The ring has plumeria flowers etched on it. Amber absolutely loves to wear it! She says rings are her favorite kind of jewelry!...Like mother like daughter. ;-D

Practicing for the New Baby

Amber and Brent are preparing for their Baby sister "C" to join our family in May. This is baby Logan (5 mo. old) whom we were babysitting the other day. Amber helped me feed him a bottle and his rice cereal, and both Amber and Brent practiced holding Logan and talking to him. It was sweet to watch. Logan did us the favor of testing out our bouncy seat too (a good yard sale find!)

A side note... Brent's expression in this next picture says, "My molars are coming in!" Poor guy. It's been a rough couple weeks for him as all 4 teeth push through.

Growing Up

Here Amber was going out shopping with Daddy and Brent. She got ready by herself: dress, heels, purse with coins (for shopping at Goodwill), sunglasses, and a watch (she is learning to tell digital time). :-D
