Moving In!
The wallpaper removal crew worked in the girls' room while the others unloaded the truck.
We are SO thankful for all the loving, helping hands!

Old House...New Home
We closed on our VA townhouse last week.
Joanie (and Ginger) were waiting to greet us at our new home.

Preparing to Unload
Michell came up to our house a day early and helped us start on wallpaper removal in the kids' rooms. We also painted the basement furnace room with Dry Lock cement paint.

Traveling West
Our moving truck has headed west and so have we. But we went north to PA to get our most precious cargo - the kids! They were at Gpa and Gma's for a few days while we were packing the moving truck.
Our van was packed to the gills with suitcases and all five of us, but we made it safe and sound to the Midwest.

Packing the Truck
Friends from the neighborhood and from church have been a huge help!
Somehow we got it all to fit. Yeah.

Friends
As we move away this time, it feels more "permanent" than when we moved to Hawaii for a couple years. So saying goodbye this time is a little harder. Wish we could get together and say a personal farewell to everyone, but know... We are so thankful for all the friends we have here in VA!

The House Listing Pictures
I guess all that work was worth it. ;-) Though, it is almost sad to leave a house that is looking so tidy.

Moving to Wisconsin!

It's official. We are moving to Wisconsin! God has provided a job for Lucas and a home for our family to buy. Everything has all fallen into place rather suddenly/quickly, and we are excited. We will be living in the country - a big change from almost 10 years in the busy DC Metro area.
Our townhouse sold last week while we were gone for Renee's wedding. We are so thankful! But the week before that Lucas and I had to prepare and stage the house for selling. I tried to document some of the things we did.

No more swings in the livingroom. :)

Repainting the kitchen ceiling with "flat" paint.

No more homeschool room/kitchen. I had to get (and borrow from friends) some neutral decor. ;-)

Power washing the steps.
Only one way to knock down that old wasp's nest.
