Amber's First Tea Party!

Our friend Jaycee is leaving for vacation, but we were able to have a play date the other morning before she left. Jaycee has a nice tea set...the girls had a blast! It was so precious to watch. Brent enjoyed the more manly toys. smiles.

Peacocks

These are the wild peacocks that were roaming the zoo looking for handouts. I have seen several flocks on around the island before, but hadn't had my camera with me on those occasions.

Near Disaster At The Zoo

In the blink of an eye, Brent threw his FAVORITE bunny into the turtle pond (just below the monkey exhibit)! We thought Bunny was a goner until...Daddy was brave enough to locate a big palm branch and fish Bunny out of the yucky water! (I should have snapped of picture of Lucas fishing, but I was holding onto his waist so that he would not also fall into the pond to as he reached!) We sealed Bunny in the empty Cheerios bag until he could be brought home and washed/decontaminated. LOL. Brent and Bunny are happily napping together once again as I type. :-D

Friend's Birthday Party

This past Friday I took Amber and Brent (and the little blond friend from church Jaycee) to a mutual friend's party. Her son CJ was turning 4. This was the first official birthday party experienced by my three little charges. Amber had a great time with all the party favors, and Brent...he stole the presents off the gift table and "ran away" from me for the first time! I (and 3 other moms helping me look), found him a few minutes later in the next room over! How he managed to get out a set of doors and in another set within 3 minutes...this boy is dangerous! Keeps me on my toes! Later I saw how he did it; he stood by the door waiting until a big kid opened the door to the outside and then ran out right behind them. Yikes! Anyway..."Happy Birthday, CJ!"

Our Friends Leave Today

Our dear friends leave Oahu today to begin their new lives in PA. They have been such blessings to us this past year. We will miss them, but we hope to see them in PA when we are back for visits with family - and friends!

Brent LOVES His Animals

Brent likes fabrics and tags. Auntie Renee gave the kids these little TY animals for Easter... Brent has become SO attached to them. He carries them around all day and MUST have them to go to sleep now. He's figured out how to keep both animals in one hand while he plays
or eats, (yes, I cave on the "no toys at the table" rule for him on this). :-)

Saturday Morning Cartoons

O.K., well, pretty much EVERY morning cartoons. smiles. But the kids were so cute together here. Amber loves her new princess shoes (handed down form a friend), and same with Brent's first little pair of flip-flips (or "slippers" as they're called here in Hawaii).

Enjoying the New Carpet and Couches

So Mommy has been "fluffing the nest" lately, making things a bit more homey and settled here. Amber and Brent seem to really enjoy the new carpet (a remnant from Home Depot) and the blue couches (off Craigslist).

Naomi Turns 2,9!

Here is my wonderful husband bringing me a delicious birthday dinner he prepared for after the kids went to bed. He followed it up with the yummy eclair pudding dessert and a pearl ring! Then the next weekend we had a date dinner (sans kids) over at one of the resorts. It was a nice birthday! My last year in the twenties!
