Amber's Date

It's been 6+ weeks since Amber had her ears' pierced. So Daddy took her on a date to Claire's to look at some new earrings. 

Brent and Clara were a little sad to be left behind, but... their turn for a date will come. ;-)

After some deliberation at Claire's, Amber decided to forego new earrings for now and get this "lip gloss cell phone" instead. 

Then she and Daddy shared a milkshake and fries. And they walked around a furniture department, trying to decide which couch was the most comfy! I guess they didn't come to any clear decision other than they were all pretty comfortable. lol. As you can see, Amber was really excited about her new gadget/makeup. ;-)

At the park the other weekend, Lucas and I looked over to find Clara high up this ladder. Yikes! What a little climber she is! She wants to do everything Amber and Brent do...and then some! ;-)

New Van Windshield

Our windshield cracked in the extreme cold this winter. So 2 weeks ago we had this company come out and replace it for us. The kids enjoyed watching the process out the window. ;-)

Frying Pan Farm Park (Again)

We took Lucas for his first visit to the nearby farm. We happened to be there for the afternoon milking time! Amber and I gave it a try. ;-)

James and Leah Visit

Our good friends James and Leah came down from New Jersey for a weekend visit. It was a nice day so we walked around Manassas Battlefield Park. 

The kids like the sports bottle way of hydrating...Daddy squirts the water into their mouth. 

And we all, especially Clara, enjoyed the chocolate cookies Leah baked!

Then this past Friday she climbed out of her crib! I found her blanket over the edge like this...I think it helped her slide easily to the other side. 

More Snow!

This was our previous snow storm about two weeks ago. And this (below) is what happens when it's 60+ degrees out the day before and you forget to close the van windows. LOL. 

Yesterday it was 64 degrees again, but now tonight and tomorrow...MORE SNOW is coming! Yikes.

Clara really liked being like the big kids and sledding down our bunny hill in the back! She didn't even cry when she totally wiped out one time. ;-) A strong girl!

Babysitting for a Friend

A couple weeks ago we babysat for Jacques, my coworker/friend's little guy. 

Clara and Jacques were chatting with each other over dinner. And Amber read him a book. We let Amber stay up late that night to help us take care of Jacques - she thought that was pretty special. She was a GREAT helper!
