Hanging Out in the Window Sill

Sometimes Amber stands in the window to watch for Daddy coming home. It's a nice sunny spot to hang out, and it provides a good view of the yard and street.

Scooting Around

This past weekend Amber figured out how to ride her Mickey Mouse scooter both forward and backward. She is having fun cruising around the kitchen now.

Sanding the Bathroom Ceiling

As you can see, this was one dirty/dusty job.

We may regret this, but it was fun to watch Amber "play" with a box of Kleenex.

Done with the attic

We finally finished off the attic by completing the flooring and adding the new insulation, and have already started packing in our stuff :-)

World Famous Rock Organ

Here are a couple more pictures of us at Luray along with the world famous rock organ that makes its tones by striking stalagmites over a 3 acre area of the cave. Also famous is the rock formation called "Fried Eggs".

Simons and Smiths

We visited Luray with our friends the Simons, and Amber was jealously watching their kids run around. We think she will be walking very soon.

Visit to Luray Caverns

This past weekend we took Amber to see Luray caverns. She had a good time hanging out on Daddy's back the whole time.

Baby Gates are Up!

Lucas ordered and installed baby gates this week for Amber (and Baby Boy-to-come). We feel much better now knowing that Amber cannot so easily topple down the stairs, and she enjoys her expanded area of free roaming.

Cousin Shawnee's Wedding - 2

Shawnee's wedding was on the Drumore Estate in Lancaster. The ceremony took place outside in the gardens - so lovely. We took a Smith family shot, (minus Owen who is in Ecuador); and then

Cousin Shawnee's Wedding

On the 4th we went to Lancaster, PA for Lucas' cousin Shawnee's
wedding. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. Amber came
with us and charmed everyone there. :-)

Army Crawl and 360s

Amber is REALLY enjoying moving around the house and outdoors these days with her army/inch worm crawl. She also enjoys spinning on her tummy and doing 360s - so cute!

Yard Work

Over the 4th of July weekend Lucas and I - o.k. well really Lucas - attacked the front landscaping. We didn't do anything too fancy, just added some low maintenance shrubs, one plant, and some white rocks. But it's all looking so much better; even our neighbors have commented. smiles.
