Riding Lessons

As states/businesses have been reopening, and we slowly reintegrate into society, Lucas and the kids signed up for a couple (private) riding lessons at a nearby ranch. 

So far they are learning the basics of leading the horse, and walking, trotting, and cantering on the horse. At the most recent lesson, Amber and Lucas were able to do some barrel racing practice too.

Outdoors

Lucas took a long weekend recently, and we tried to take full advantage of that. The weather was great, so he and the kids played down in the river in our subdivision. 

Then they camped in the backyard for two nights. (I volunteered to sleep inside and have breakfast ready). :)

We painted the front door and the shutters to match. Here below, Lucas was just starting on the shutters. 

And we were able to restain the backyard fence too. 

We are thankful for this time together, for our yard, and for the opportunity to catch up, like so many people are, on housework.
