Pets

We decided to let each of the kids get a pet. Texas summers are so blazin'-hot anyway, that we're indoors much of the time. So these pets provide entertainment and a renewed opportunity for learning more responsibility. 

Brent got a tortoise that he named Walnut, or "Wally" for short.

The girls got guinea pigs and dubbed them "Cinnamon" and "Patch."

Moving Into TX Home

The moving truck arrived at 7am sharp, and soon the house began to fill up with boxes.

Our first dinner at the kitchen table - hot dogs and beans (easy to heat up).

Then the realities of home ownership kick in right away. :)

We so loved the two years God gave us in the country!...It was very hard to say goodbye as we sold the property. But a new (Texas) chapter is starting in our lives, and we look forward to that.
