My best friend of 22 years Michelle came to visit us in September. It was wonderful to spend a whole week with her, to get caught up, and to have fun sight-seeing around the island (with and without the kids).
First things first, a motorcycle ride around town.
She was so sweet about playing with the kids.
Amber did a REALLY good job (especially for a 2 year old) eating corn on the cob for the first time this August. She loved it!
While it was very funny, we had to tell her this was a big "no no" so that Brent might actually get some sleep and for both their safety :-)
Here are a couple pictures from one of the temple valleys on the east side of the island. You can tell they get a lot more rain here!
One of the last things we did with Renee and Sara was enjoy some red Hawaiian hot dogs. I guess they mostly look like normal hot dogs in this pictures, but they started off very red, and were red even on the inside.
Of course you need some watermelon as well.
Slightly out of chronologically order, but still fun - All the Girls and Brent went back to the Dole Plantation and took a ride on the train there.
Naomi was tired of me not being in any pictures, so she decided to do something about it.
